Thirty Two Signs Honey Badger Of The Week Award: George Brunnhoelzl III

Call it Southern Fried Honey Badger style this week.

Thanks to Randall and his glorious YouTube classic, we all know this, “Honey Badger don’t care.”

According to Randall: “The honey badger has been referred to by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most fearless animal in all of the animal kingdom.”

We know from Randall: “Honey Badger don’t care, it just takes what he wants. He has no regard for any other animal whatsoever.”

In Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour event at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, N.C., reigning series champion George Brunnhoelzl III let Tim Brown take and take and take all race.

But when it came down to the old trophy distribution lap, Brunnhoelzl flared his Honey Badger style.

As Randall says: “The Honey Badger is really pretty badass. It has no regard for any other animal whatsoever.”

And that was the case Saturday at Caraway when Brunnhoelzl, of West Babylon, N.Y., gave Brown the bump and run on the final lap to steal victory away from the Madhouse Mauler. After the checked, Brown found Brunnhoelzl and spun him on the track.

“Every restart, every time I got outside of Tim, he’d put me up in the third groove,” Brunnhoelzl said. “During the race, there’s really no need for it, everybody is kind of riding, so you take it was a grain of salt and try to hold your own. Green-white-checkered comes, he ran me into the hot dog stand going into [turn] one there. He cleared me down the backstretch and I gave him a little bump-and-run. His car was in one piece, he came home second, but then he had to do childish stuff and wreck and me after the race.”
