Tyler Chadwick Gets SK Mod Win At Waterford; Keith Rocco Paces Late Model Field

Reigning Waterford Speebdowl SK Modified division champion Tyler Chadwick wasted no time in getting back in victory lane at the shoreline oval.

Chadwick, of Ledyard, won Saturday’s 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature at Waterford. It was the opening Saturday night of weekly racing for the 2013 season at Waterford. Keith Rocco won the season opening SK Modified feature at the track last Sunday.

Kyle James of Ashway, R.I. was second Saturday and Tom Abele Jr. of Norwich third.

Rocco, who finished 17th in Saturday’s SK Modified feature, did keep his perfect record intact in the Late Model division by winning the 30-lap feature for the event, his second Late Model victory in two races this year.

Corey Hutchings of Salem won for the second time in two events in the 25-lap Street Stock feature. Al Stone III of Durham was second and Chris Meyer of North Franklin third.

Ray Christian III of Groton won the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. Garrett Denton of Hope Valley, R.I. was second and Ken Cassidy Jr. of Lisbon third.
