Zach Audet Tops Field In Northeast Mini Stock Tour Opener At Lee USA Speedway

Zach Audet got the early jump on the competition on the Texas Roadhouse Northeast Mini Stock tour.

Audet, of Skowhegan, Me., won the Northeas Mini Stock Tour season opener Sunday at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H.

Matt Sonnhalter of East Thetford, Vt. was second and Cristofer King of Derry, N.H. third.

Audet took the lead from Sonnhalter on lap six and never trailed again in the 50-lap feature. Sonnhalter looked to make a challenge on Audet with 10 laps remaining but his run was slowed by lapped traffic.

Danny Field of Deep River was fourth on the day. Glen Thomas of Groton was seventh and Mitch Bombard of Willimantic eighth. Twenty-four cars started the event.

The Northeast Mini Stock Tour is next in action on April 27 when the division makes its Stafford Motor Speedway debut as part of Spring Sizzler weekend at the track.
