Northeast Mini Stock Tour Offering Record Payout This Weekend At Wiscasset Speedway

The Northeast Mini Stock Tour is back in action Saturday with a record purse on the line for the division.

Series founder Bob Guptill announced this week that the winner’s purse for Saturday’s series event at Wiscasset Speedway in Kingfield, Me. will be $750.

The winner’s share represents a $400 increase from the typical $350 to win the series usually races for and the highest winner’s purse participants have ever competed for in the five years the division has run.

“Some local businesses have stepped up behind the NEMST’s basic strategies of clean simple fair racing to boost the purse,” read a Northeast Mini Stock Tour press release. “Tire King of Skowhegan, Kennebec Equipment Rental, and Brieanna Dietrich Law Office of Rockport have all signed on to help promote the Maine race.”

Second place will earn $500, third place $400 and over $3,500 in cash and contingencies will be up for grabs for the 30-car field.
