Thirty Two Signs Honey Badger Of The Week Award: Troy Talman

Thanks to Randall and his glorious YouTube classic, we all know this, “Honey Badger don’t care.”

Last Friday night at Stafford Motor Speedway, 18-year old Troy Talman basically said, experience be damned. In his second appearance in the SK Light Modified division at Stafford, Talman, of Oxford, Mass., won in dramatic fashion.

According to Randall: “The honey badger has been referred to by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most fearless animal in all of the animal kingdom.”

And Talman showed zero fear in mixing it up with the best of the division. Joey Ferrigno will most definitely argue that Talman probably mixed it up too much. Ferrigno ended up in the wall during the event after contact with Talman.

We know from Randall: “Honey Badger don’t care, it just takes what he wants. He has no regard for any other animal whatsoever.”

Over the closing laps Talman put on a show for fans in a lead swapping display between himself and Tony Membrino Jr.

“I don’t know how the hell he did that,” Membrino said of the duel with Talman. “I got a great run off of turn two on [the final restart]. I knew he was going to use me up, I just kept digging and digging. I cleared him and I was protecting the bottom and all of the sudden he was underneath me. I was like ‘Holy crap.’ The kid is a good driver. He really worked hard for this. I beat the hell out of his bumper.”
