Toby Wells Scores First Career Northeast Mini Stock Tour Win At Wiscasset Speedway

It was a first-time winner grabbing the big money payday in Northeast Mini Stock Tour action Saturday night at Wiscasset Speedway in Wiscasset, Me.

Toby Wells of Dublin, N.H. raced to victory in the 50-lap event Saturday at Wiscasset Speedway. The event paid a series record $750 to win.

The event attracted 35 cars, a record for the series in its fifth year of operations.

Emerson Cayer of Contoocook, N.H. was second and Shawn Kimball of August, Me. third.

Glen Thomas of Groton was fourth and reigning series champion Danny Field sixth.

After three of 12 events this year, Field is second in the standings, 20 points behind Cayer. Thomas is third in the standings, 23 points behind the leader.

Mitch Bombard of Willimantic, after a 20th place finish Saturday, is ninth in the series standings.
