Thirty Two Signs Honey Badger Of The Week Award: Dan Avery

Thanks to Randall and his glorious YouTube classic, we all know this, “Honey Badger don’t care.”

And Dan Avery showed last Friday that the Honey Badger “don’t care” attitude clearly doesn’t have any sort of age limit to it.

We know from Randall that: “Honey Badger don’t care, it just takes what he wants. He has no regard for any other animal whatsoever.”

Last Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway it was Avery making a point to the one of the SK Modified division’s young guns that he wasn’t going to get pushed around.

The 58-year old Avery, a veteran of many a war over the last few decades behind the wheel of a Modified, looked on his way to his first victory in years in last week’s 40-lap SK Modified feature at Stafford Speedway.

And then along came that whipper-snapper Ryan Preece to grab the lead and victory away with just over two laps remaining.

And according to Randall: “The honey badger has been referred to by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most fearless animal in all of the animal kingdom” and it was Avery showing off that attacking spirit after the dust settled Friday.

After the race Avery gave the 22-year old Preece a shot to the side of his car. Avery accused Preece of moving him up the track after Preece took the lead. Preece said Avery came down on him and caused his own issues. No matter, Avery was displaying the Honey Badger moxie after the checkered flag flew.
