Chris Pasteryak To Miss Valenti Modified Racing Series Event Friday At Stafford Speedway

In five Valenti Modifed Racing Series events at Stafford Motor Speedway since 2010 there have been five different event winners.

But only four of those five drivers will be at Stafford on Friday night trying to become the first two-time winner in series history at the track.

Two-time Modified Racing Series champion Chris Pasteryak of Lisbon confirmed early Friday morning that he will not be able to compete at Stafford on Friday night.

An undisclosed injury will force Pasteryak to miss Friday’s event at Stafford and possibly a number of Valenti Modified Racing Series events coming up over the next month.

“I hate missing races, but in this case my doctor has advised me to sit out and I feel like it’s in my best interest to listen to him,” Pasteryak said.

Pasteryak won a Valenti Modified Racing Series event at Stafford in Sept. 2011, the year he raced to his second series title. Pasteryak also was the series champion in 2008.

Ted Christopher, Keith Rocco, Jon McKennedy and Tommy Barrett Jr. have also won Valenti Modified Racing Series events at Stafford since 2010.
