Thompson Notes: Rick Gentes Wins Second Consecutive In Late Models; Rain Shortens Card

THOMPSON – Rick Gentes of Woonsocket, R.I. took the lead on lap 13 from Marc Curtis Jr. and never trailed again on the way to his second consecutive victory in the 25-lap Late Model feature.

Curtis, of Worcester, held on for second and Damon Tinio of Mendon, Mass. was third.

Joe Baxter of Pascoag, R.I. won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature. Shane Michalski of Woodstock was second and Lou Bellisle of Lisbon third.

Rain came after the Mini Stock feature forcing Thompson officials to postpone the scheduled 20-lap SK Light Modified feature 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature.
