Brunnhoelzl led wire-to-wire Saturday to win the Daggett Schuler Attorneys-At-Law/Rusty Harpe Memorial 150 Caraway Speedway in Sophia, N.C.

It was the record 20th career Whelen Southern Modified Tour victory for the West Babylon, N.Y. driver and his 10th at Caraway Speedway.

The race was rescheduled to Saturday after it was rained out on Friday.

Kyle Ebersole of Hummelstown, Pa. was third and Andy Seuss of Hampstead, N.H. third.

Brunnhoelzl’s biggest threat on the evening came when Seuss pushed him through turn four on lap 135. But Seuss ended up spinning while trying to go by Brunnhoelzl for the lead a lap later.

Brunnhoelzl now leads Ebersole by 24 points in the Southern Modified Tour standings after five events this year.
