Valenti Modified Racing Series To Return To Thompson Speedway Aug. 1 For Makeup Event

Drivers on the Valenti Modified Racing Series will have a busy schedule on their hands next week.

Thursday’s rained out 75-lap event at Thompson International Speedway will now be made up on Aug. 1.

It will mean two races in three days in two different states for the division.

After running Thompson Thursday, the series heads to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Me. for a 100-lap feature on Saturday Aug. 3.

Thursday’s rainout was the second time weather has effected a Valenti Modified Racing Series show this year at Thompson. The division was also scheduled to run there on May 19 and was rained out. That event was cancelled. The series is scheduled to end its season at Thompson on Oct. 19 as part of the World Series of Racing weekend.
