Each week during the 2013 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly division competitors at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson International Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Each week’s winner will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. Drivers must have a Sunoco Race Fuel decal on their car to be eligible for the weekly award.
The milestones come fast and furious these days for Wallingford driver Keith Rocco.
Rocco’s astonishing win totals over the last few years mean he’s putting himself on the radar early as one of the best of the best at a handful of local tracks.
Saturday night Rocco won his sixth NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature of the year at the Waterford Speedbowl. It was the 50th SK Modified victory at Waterford for Rocco since 2008. Dennis Gada is the track’s all-time winningest SK Modified driver with 62 victories. Rocco is second all-time.
As if hitting the 50-mark wasn’t enough for Rocco Saturday, he ended the night by celebrating a victory in the 100-lap Valenti Modified Racing Series event Saturday at the shoreline oval.
For his efforts, Rocco is the recipient of this week’s New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer of the Week Award.

Rocco is the BEST driver Waterford has seen in years !
He’s a very good driver but not the best the bowl has seen in years..If Doug Coby ran here full time things would be different and Dennis Gada/Allen Coates are still a cut above.
