The Valenti Modified Racing Series and Thomspon Speedway aren’t giving up just yet.
Thursday’s thrice rained out 75-lap event will now be made up on Aug. 22 at the track.
The Valenti Modified Series event was originally scheduled to run the event on July 25. It was postponed by rain that day and then again on Aug. 1 and again this morning.
The 40-lap Late Model event that had been scheduled for the track’s weekly competitors will now be run on Aug. 29.
It marked the fourth time this year weather has effected the Valenti Modified Racing Series at Thompson. The division was scheduled to run a feature at the track on May 19, but that was cancelled because of rain. The division is also scheduled to run its season ending event at Thompson on Oct. 19 as part of the track’s World Series weekend.
The Valenti Modified Racing Series is back in action Saturday as part of the Wings and Wheels Show at the Waterford Speedbowl.
