American Canadian Tour Tests At NHMS In Preparation For Invitational Event

More than 30 teams hit the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway oval Wednesday in preparation for the fifth Bond Auto Part ACT Invitational at the track on Sept. 21.

The ACT Invitational is part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sylvania 300 weekend at NHMS.

Rowley, Mass. driver Eddie MacDonald was one of the competitors shaking down his equipment on Wednesday. MacDonald will be running both the ACT Invitational on Sept. 21 and also the K&N Pro Series East North American Power 100.

MacDonald is a two-time ACT Invitational winner with victories in 2009 and 2011.

“The car went pretty good today, but we want it to be faster so we can come here in a couple weeks and compete for the win,” MacDonald said in a release from the track. “We always look forward to coming to this race. This track is completely different than the ones we run on for the ACT. We’re really looking forward to coming back and working our way to the front.”
