Sprint Cup Series Driver Travis Kvapil Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Travis Kvapil was arrested Tuesday on charges of assault and false imprisonment according to numerous reports.

According to the Associated Press, Moorseville, N.C. police responded to a 911 call from Kvapil’s residence on Tuesday and the 37-year old was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence committed against his wife.

Kvapil was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Kvapil competes in the Sprint Cup Series for BK Racing and is currently 31st in the driver standings.

Kvapil has raced regularly in the Sprint Cup Series since 2005. He has never won a race in 240 starts since 2004.

He has nine career victories in the Camping World Truck Series. He was the 2003 champion of the division.
