Fall has turned to Spring before the 2014 season could even start for the Valenti Modified Racing Series and one of their three events at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway next year.
Valenti Modified Racing Series director Scott Tapley said the division’s expected Oct. 4, 2014 event at Seekonk Speedway will now be run on May 4 instead.
Although nothing official has been announced, indications are Seekonk Speedway could be doing away with it’s traditional season ending DAV Memorial event, of which the Valenti Modified Racing Series has annually been part of in recent years.
The Valenti Modified Racing Series will also have events at Seekonk Speedway on June 7 and Aug. 16 next year, part of a 16-race 2014 schedule for the division.
This would be perfect timing for the Bowl to pick up the Oct 4th date for they can have a proper finale event. lol
Let’s be honest here. A 50 Lap SK mod event for the finale spot light is not that appealing when Seekonk was offering the VMRS that same day. lol
