
STAFFORD – Reigning Stafford Speedway Limited Late Model champion Matt Clement began his title defense in perfect style Sunday at the NAPA Spring Sizzler.
Clement, of Wethersfield, topped the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Sunday at Stafford.
It was the 20th career Limited Late Model division victory for Clement.
Jason Lafayette of Somers was second and Jeremy Lavoie of Windsor Locks third.
Paul Varricchio of Berlin won the 30-lap Late Model feature.
Michael Wray of Mooresville, N.C. was second and Kevin Gambacorta of Ellington was third.
Nickolas Hovey of Chaplin won the first 20-lap SK Light Modified Duel event.
Amanda West of Colchester was second and Paul Arute of Tolland third.
Brian Sullivan of Ellington was victorious in the second 20-lap SK Light Modified Duel.
Zach Aszklar of Newton was second and Dean Lambros of Northport, N.Y. was third.
The finishing results of the two SK Light Modified events will set the feature lineup for the 30-lap SK Light Modified feature on May 9 at Stafford.
Bert Ouellette of Ellington topped the field in the 20-lap Street Stock feature.
It was the third career Street Stock feature victory at Stafford for Ouellette.
Tyler Trott of East Hartford was second and Travis Downey of Barkhamstead was third.
