The big story in the world of NASCAR in recent weeks has been the Cup Series and Xfinity Series racing last weekend in Mexico City. The story of the actual races happening was almost overshadowed by the stories of the logistics involved in getting the two divisions to Mexico City for the event. Steve Tapley is a familiar face to many around the Northeast short track racing scene. In addition to his involvement as a spotter and truck driver for numerous Northeast based teams, Steve also works part-time time as a truck driver for Sam Hunt Racing with the Xfinity Series. Steve served as a truck driver for Sam Hunt Racing for the trip to Mexico City and we talked with him today about the entire experience.
