Eric Berndt Makes It Two In A Row In SK Modified At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

For the second consecutive week at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl it was Eric Berndt celebrating an SK Modified victory.

Berndt topped the 35-lap SK Modified feature Saturday at the Speedbowl.

It was the fourth victory in nine SK Modified starts this year at the Speedbowl for Berndt. It was the 32nd career SK Modified win at the Speedbowl for Berndt, who sits fifth on the division’s all-time win list at the track. 

Berndt is just one of three drivers with victories over the 10 SK Modified events at the Speedbowl this year. Andrew Molleur has five wins and Jon Puleo one victory, 

Adam Gada of Bozrah was second and Todd Owen of Somers third. 

Molleur leads the SK Modified division standings by 20 points over Flannery. Berndt, despite only starting nine of 10 events, sits third in the standings, 35 points behind Molleur. 

Nikolas Hovey scored his fifth victory in 10 starts this year in the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature. 

Tyler Chapman of Ellington was second and Kevin Davis of Somers third. 

Andrew Krzemiński of East Hampton won the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. Ray Christian III of Uncasville was second and Tim Dorr of Gales Ferry third. 

Ryan Lineham of Hope Valley, R.I. won the 25-lap Truck feature. Charles Beal of Ledyard was second and Nicholas Uhrig Jr. of Warwick, R.I. was third.
