
Eric Berndt was back on top Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
Berndt, of Cromwell, scored the win in the Billy Greco/Terry Baribeault SK Modified 43 at the shoreline oval.
It was the third victory in eight SK Modified starts this year at the Speedbowl for Berndt. It was the 31st career SK Modified win at the Speedbowl for Berndt, who sits fifth on the division’s all-time win list at the track.
Berndt is just one of three drivers with victories over the nine SK Modified events at the Speedbowl this year. Andrew Molleur has five wins and Jon Puleo one victory,
Puleo, of Branford, was second Saturday and Anthony Flannery of East Hampton third.
Ryan Morgan of North Franklin topped the 30-lap Late Model feature. Devin Deshaies of Oakland, R.I. was second and Shawn Gaedeke of Groton third.
A night after getting his fifth win of the season in a Street Stock at Stafford Speedway, Aaron Plemons kept the heat on for the weekend, scoring his sixth victory of the season at the Speedbowl in the 25-lap Street Stock feature Saturday.
Jordan Hadley of Waterford was second and Ike Chima of New London third.
Christopher Garside of Groton scored his fourth win of the year in the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. Ray Christian III of Uncasville was second and Bill Sylvia of Preston third.
Nicholas Uhrig Jr. of Warwick, R.I. topped the 25-lap Truck feature. Charles Beal of Ledyard was second and Milania Shilosky of Colchester third.
Riley Paul of Ledyard won the 25-lap Legends feature. Dylan Freeman of Unionville was second and Brandon Martinez of North Kingstown, R.I. was third.
