STAFFORD – On the track at Stafford Speedway in 2025, Aaron Plemons has been one of the hottest drivers of the season.

And on social media the heat has also been on for Plemons for much of the year.

Plemons has had a simple and consistent answer all year for the haters.

Just keep winning.

Plemons drove by Bert Ouellette for the lead on lap 18 and held to win the 20-lap Street Stock feature Friday at Stafford Speedway.

It was the fifth win of the season for Plemons, of Uncasville.

“A lot of beating and banging, but I stayed patient,” Plemons said. “My dad gave me a hell of a car. I wonder what the Facebook wannabe’s are going to stay about that one. I never touched a soul and just drove right past everybody.”

Plemons said he has grown used to the social media abuse.

“You try not to look at it, but it bothers you that you put so much time and effort into this sport and people just run their mouth constantly,” Plemons said. “Maybe they’re not used to a Speedbowl guy like myself who knows how to get it done. We come here, I kind of have an aggressive driving style, but I try to keep it clean, for the most part I think I do. Maybe the five wins on the year, they don’t like that.”

Ouellette, of Ellington, was second and Jason Raymond of Somers third.

Matthew Winter II of Springfield, Vt. got his first win of the season in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature.

Rich Hammann of Tolland was second and Kyle Theriault of Three Rivers, Mass. was third.
