Jake Johnson Tops Late Models At Thompson Speedway 

THOMPSON – A fourth place finish in the NASCAR Modified Tour Thompson 150 Wednesday at Thompson Speedway had Jake Johnson happy. 

But it was the way he ended the evening at Thompson that had the Rehoboth, Mass. driver beaming. 

Johnson closed out a packed racing card Wednesday at Thompson by winning the 25-lap Late Model feature. 

It was third win in five Late Model starts this year at Thompson for Johnson and his Hartwell Motorsports team. 

Johnson extended his lead at the top of the division’s standings. 

Jacob Burns of East Greenwich, R.I. was second and Tyler Chapman of Mystic third.
