SK Modified Postrace At Stafford Makes For Some Friction Between Frontrunners Friday

STAFFORD – It was a hard fought late race battle for victory in the SK Modified division feature Friday at Stafford Speedway.

Cory DiMatteo held off the charges of Mike Christopher Jr. over the final three laps to score his first victory since May 2024.

But the feistiness of the battle on the track carried over to the post race celebration, with some tension festering between DiMatteo and Mike Christopher Sr. 

It was something DiMatteo called “disheartening” and “a shame”.
