Patrick Emerling Leads The Way In Whelen Mod Tour NAPA Fall Final 150 Practice At Stafford

STAFFORD – Sitting in second place in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour standings, Patrick Emerling has one mission for Saturday at Stafford Speedway.

Emerling’s best chance to celebrate his Whelen Modified Tour championship is to win the NAPA Fall Final 150, lead the most laps, collecting the most points he can and then hope Justin Bonsignore has some issues.

Bonsignore, the 2018 and 2020 series champion, leads Emerling by 16 points going into Saturday’s event.

Emerling showed in practice Saturday afternoon that he has a car ready to achieve his goal of collecing the most points possible Saturday at Stafford.

Emerling, of Orchard Park, N.Y., led the way in practice for the NAPA Fall Final 150.

Emerling toured the historic half-mile Stafford oval with a fast lap of 18.763 seconds.

Bonsignore was third fastest during the lone practice session Saturday with a fast lap of 18.806 seconds.

Craig Lutz of Miller Place, N.Y, driving a second car for Dave Sapienza Racing, was second fastest during practice with a fast lap of 18.802 seconds.

Matt Swanson of Acton, Mass. and Ronnie Williams of Tolland rounded out the top-five in practice respectively.
