STAFFORD – The Pro All-Stars Series returned to Stafford Motor Speedway Saturday for the first time in a decade, and it was Eddie MacDonald looking light years ahead of the competition.
MacDonald, of Rowley, Mass., dominated most of the event, then drove away from Gabe Brown and Joey Polewarczyk Jr. on a lap 73 restart to win the 75-lap Pro All-Stars Series feature.
It was the second career victory at Stafford for MacDonald, who won with the ARCA Menards East Series at Stafford (when it was the Camping World East Series) in June 2007.
It was the second PASS event at Stafford Speedway. The late Ted Christopher won in the division’s only other appearance at the track in 2012.
Polewarczyk, of Hudson, N.H., was second and Brown, of Center Conway, N.H. was third.
Matt Scappini of Litchfield drove away from Jeremy Lavoie on a green-white-checkered restart to win the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature.
Ari Jencik of Canton was second and Lavoie, of Windsor Locks, third.
Scappini took the lead from Rich Hammann on lap 17.
“That was a wild one,” Scappini said. “I didn’t really know what was going to happen. We were all over the place in the beginning. I got some lucky breaks. … All in all unbelievable.
Travis Hydar of Woodbury topped the field in the 20-lap Street Stock feature.
“This thing just kept getting better as the race went on,” Hydar said. “It was the same way in the heat race. I’m glad we made the adjustments we did and it benefited us for the long run.”
Bobby Stirk of Naugatuck was second and Adrien Paradis III of Plainville third.

he said on the radio that he lost a right front tire, tough break on a good run.
Matt Clement retires early and in the exit interview says it looks like everyone is racing pretty clean. Unfortunate timing because a steady stream of mayhem was fixing to ensue.
Every driver no matter how good they are makes bonehead moves at some point in their race careers. Fearn says everyone knows she doesn’t race like that so one might assume don’t believe your eyes it never happened. Oh ya it happened. And all she felt bad about was her team as she takes out other good cars.
The unwritten rule is pretty basic. Rubbing is racing and if you get the leader a little out of shape for the pass it may not be appreciated but in the end it’s just hard racing. You spin him, wreck a bunch of cars including your own you blew it. Classic bonehead move. Woman up, take the hit and move on. Deflection and spin is a bad look for a champion.

Doug I agree 💯 with what you said. I was shocked when they went to interview her that her demeanor was that of someone who had been done wrong. Bottom line is she put her front bumper in his door and never lifted till they slammed the wall. Everyone who races makes mistakes that costs other teams time and money and it’s a little easier to take when the person who took you out says “my bad”.
