Stewart-Haas Racing Leader Greg Zipadelli Working Through Issues Of Team Shutdown

LOUDON, N.H. – The biggest news of late when it comes to the NASCAR Cup Series was the announcement on May 28 that Stewart-Haas Racing would shut down following the 2024 season.

Berlin native and former NASCAR Cup Series championship winning crew chief Greg Zipadelli is the vice-president of competition for Stewart-Haas Racing. Zipadelli has been with the organization since 2011.

We spoke with the Connecticut native Saturday morning about his future in racing what he has been dealing with as part of his leadership role with Stewart-Haas Racing.

“We’ve got four drivers right now really that are in a similar situation, feeling like they had a home,” Zipadelli said of the Stewart-Haas Cup Series stable. “Some young guys we took some chances on this year and brought over and they’ve been doing good and working well together. We thought it was going to be a breath of fresh air and it’s just a shame that’s it’s coming to an end here pretty soon.”
