Racing Rained Out For Second Consecutive Saturday At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

With heavy rains falling overnight and a forecast for continued rain through the day and evening, New London-Waterford Speedbowl officials have called off tonight’s racing card at the shoreline oval.

It marks the second consecutive week that the Saturday racing card at the track has been rained out.

The Saturday card featured a 100-lap SK Modified event. A makeup date for that event will be announced at a later time.

A statement on social media from the track read: “Due to the ongoing rains that began overnight, along with the forecast for the rest of the day, unfortunately we have decided to cancel today’s races. We are still racing tomorrow, Sunday the 14th with a pit party to start the day, and X-Cars, Super X-Cars, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, Compact, Full Size, and Truck/SUV Enduros. The SK 100 will be rescheduled to a later date.”
