USNEPower To Serve As Title Sponsor Of Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Haunted Hundred At Seekonk

Anyone making their way around short track racing facilities in Southern New England in the last few years has probably noticed the presence of the name USNEPower on race cars and race track marquees.

The Westfield, Mass. based company has even made their way to the national stage in racing. They were a sponsor on Justin Bonsignore’s Joe Gibbs Racing Xfinity Series entry in June at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

And now the company will add a new major billing to their racing endeavors.

USNEPower will serve as the title sponsor for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Haunted Hundred on Nov. 2 at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway.

“My family has been race fans and have enjoyed short track racing in the Northeast our whole life,” USNEPower owner David Miller said. “Recently the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series events at Seekonk were always an event to bring our whole family back together, so it’s a natural fit to be associated with them for the USNEPower Haunted Hundred.”

The inaugural Haunted Hundred was run on October 28, 2017 at Seekonk Speedway, won by eight-time series champion Matt Hirschman. The race has evolved into one of the major events annually on the Open Type Modified racing schedule. USNEPower has signed a two-year agreement with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series to be the title sponsor of the event.

“Through Bonssa Tufa’s introduction, I got to know David and Angela [Miller] through my website design business last winter,” said Renee Dupuis, Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series director of series development. “I quickly learned that short-track racing plays a central role in their business model. Over the next several months I watched – really in awe of them – lending just a ton of support to local, regional, and even national racers and tracks – including backing Max Zachem and Ryan Newman in our own Series.

“So, when we needed a title sponsor for our Haunted Hundred event at Seekonk, I thought USNEPower might be a great fit. David obviously agreed. But to be honest, when he reached back out the next day telling me to make it a two-year deal, I was floored. We’re so excited to have their support and we can’t wait to show folks what we have planned for our season finale.”

Miller said he sees a natural fit between racing and USNEPower.

“Short track racing offers an amazing exposure to a large customer base every week,” Miller said. “These fans are loyal to the drivers and the sponsors making it a great business network for USNE. … We know car owners and drivers work hard to get results on the track, but they also are business owners and employees during the week with businesses that need or complement the services of USNE.

“We have worked with several teams, sponsors and promoters on projects outside of racing over the years, and we see the benefit and the great return on investment ourselves. Everything from our Website (USNEPOWER.com), Truck Purchases, Logos and Lettering, Insurance, Shop Supplies, Business Coach, even our annual company outings are products of the racing community.”

Hirschman got his second Haunted Hundred victory in 2018 at Seekonk. Chase Dowling was the Haunted Hundred winner in 2019 at Seekonk. Due to COVID restrictions in Massachusetts the event was not run in 2020. Dowling scored his second Haunted Hundred win at Seekonk in 2021. In 2022 Anthony Nocella got his first series win in the Haunted Hundred at Seekonk. The event was held in 2023 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl where Hirschman got his third Haunted Hundred victory.

The USNEPower Haunted Hundred will be the eighth and final event on the 2024 Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series schedule. The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series runs its seventh event of the season, the Constantine Paving & Sealing 75, on Oct. 12 at Thompson Speedway.
