What’s Brewing: Cook Out Clash At Bowman Gray Exceeded Expectations

So what’s brewing?

Well, the long awaited Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray is now in the rearview. So let’s talk about how the weekend went.

All eyes in NASCAR were on the historic Bowman Gray Stadium over the weekend with the running of the NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Clash.

I’ll admit, when this event was announced my expectations for it were pretty low. The way I kind of looked at it was that NASCAR was taking the Cup Series there really just to put on an event that would shine a light on of it’s most historic venues. I kind of figured it would be an event where there would be more emphasis on playing up the overall history of NASCAR and the place Bowman Gray holds.

  1. I think for me, the biggest takeaway, is the race ability of the gen 7.
For the most part, You can lean on each other without cutting tires.
When the rubbing starts, the bodies bounce back for the most part. I think that was really key, to having a decent race, as they certainly were leaning on each other, throughout the field.
