Former Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman topped the field in the SMART Modified Tour event Saturday at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, N.C.
It was the first victory of the season for Newman.
Fourteen year old Paulie Hartwig III was second.
Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott, driving a Gary Putnam owned entry, was third.
Joey Coulter and Luke Baldwin rounded out the top- respectively. Sam Rameau of Westminster, Mass. was 10th.
