STAFFORD – When it comes to the business of tires in Southern New England short track racing people think about Rob Summers and Hoosier Tire East. 

Now, Summers will be expanding his reach when it comes to the business of short track racing. 

Summers is in the process of acquiring Northeast Race Cars And Speed from current owner Shane Hopkins. Hopkins purchased the business from Brad Lafontaine in late 2019. 

We talked with Summers about his acquisition of the historic business.
