
As of Thursday, Matt Hirschman wasn’t on the entry list for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event this weekend at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
By Saturday night the Northampton, Pa. driver was not only at the Speedbowl, he was the one doing the celebrating in victory lane.
Hirschman topped the field in the 100-lap Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
The race was originally scheduled to be run on May 23, but was rained out.
Jon McKennedy of Chelmsford, Mass. was second and Kyle Bonsignore of Mooresville, N.C. third.
It was the 25th career Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series victory in 65 series starts for Hirschman, who is a nine-time series champion.
It was the fifth series victory at the Speedbowl for Hirschman. He also won once at the track in 2016, twice in 2023 and once in 2024.
McKennedy, who won the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season opener on April 11 at Thompson Speedway, leads the series standings after two of nine events.
Bonsignore sits second, 22 points behind McKennedy. Ronnie Williams is third, 24 points off the lead, and Mike Christopher Jr. is fourth, one point behind Williams.
