Wall Stadium Announces Schedule Changes; Blewett Memorial Moved To Aug. 29; Hall Of Fame 100 Set For July 18

(Press release from Wall Stadium)

Due to scheduling conflicts, Wall Stadium has made changes to a few race dates throughout the summer months starting with Saturday night, July 18th.

The John Blewett III Memorial 176 for the Tour-Type Modifieds has been moved from July 18th to August 29th. The 176 lap feature event will pay $7,600 to the winner and $760 just to start on August 29th.

“Our top priority is ensuring that every single competitor gets a fair shot to travel, compete, and put on the incredible show you expect at Wall Stadium without being forced to choose between events,” said Wall Stadium Director of Racing Operations Pete Maletto.

The rules for the John Blewett III Memorial are posted on the Wall Stadium website, under Driver Info and then the Rules tab. There will be an ‘early’ entry fee of $100 and a $125 entry fee the day of the event. Pit passes for the night will be $45 for NASCAR members and $55 for Non-NASCAR members.

In an added bonus to teams that compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Stafford Motor Speedway the night prior on Friday, August 28th, Maletto has offered up one free pit pass per team that travels to Wall and competes the following night.

Lap sponsorship and contingency money opportunities will be available in the coming days.

A number of Tour-Type Modified teams have already expressed an interest in competing in the John Blewett III Memorial 176.

Also in action on August 29th will be the NASCAR Sportsman, O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks and the Natural Design Co. INEX Legend Cars. All tickets that have been purchased already for August 29th will be refunded.

The Twin 20’s event for the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks which was scheduled for August 29th has been moved up to Saturday night, August 1st, with the Factory Stocks now competing in a single feature event on August 29th.

The last major change has been Hall of Fame night which has been moved from August 15th to July 18th where in addition to a 100-lap feature for the NASCAR Modifieds, a number of Wall Stadium legends from years past will be on hand throughout the night signing autographs and meeting with race fans.

In competition with the NASCAR Modifieds on July 18th are the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks, Surf Side Collision 4-Cylinders and the ATQMRA TQ Midgets.
