Ollie’s Bargain Basement Hosts Twin Monster Trucks Shows On Saturday July 11 At Riverhead Raceway

The excitement and thrills of Monster Truck racing and free style, car crushing action return to Riverhead Raceway for two shows Saturday July 11th as Ollie’s Bargain Basement presents the Monster Truck Summer Crush. Two performances of Monster Truck mayhem are set at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM featuring an all-star roster of KSR Motorsports Monster Trucks, a pit party, quad racing and other breathtaking stunts.

From the very first KSR Motorsports show at Riverhead Raceway nearly four decades ago, the Monster Trucks visit to Riverhead Raceway has annually been among the most popular events on the yearly schedule. Jack Brady of KSR revealed the all-star caliber of Monster Trucks heading to Riverhead Raceway July 11th with Ripper, Bad News Travels Fast, Hurricane Force, Killer Bee, Playin Hookie and Webslinger all scheduled to appear.

Brady in concert with track GM John Ellwood also revealed the show schedule for the matinee and evening performances. Saturday at 11:00 AM the gates will open for the matinee with the Pit Party and Monster Truck rides starting immediately. The on-track activity starts at 1:00 PM with three rounds of Monster Truck racing complemented by three rounds of Quad racing, a King Kong Knievel performance plus an INEX Bandolero exhibition. The Monster Trucks and Quads will run two heats prior to their finals prior to the car crushing, wheel standing Monster Truck Freestyle competition completing on track action. The Monster Truck drivers will then be available for post event autographs. 

The Ollie’s Bargain Basement Summer Crush evening presentation has gates opening at 5:00 PM with the Pit Party and Monster Truck rides swinging right into action. On track action commences at 7:00 PM with Monster Truck and Quad racing heats that lead up to their finals later in the show. During the evening performance, a death-defying Black Widow Firewalls stunt will be presented which will conclude with another Freestyle Monster Truck competition. A post event autograph session will conclude the evening program that again includes a INEX Bandolero expo.
