Waterford Speedbowl Notes: Mark Panaroni Wins Northeast Mini Stock Tour Feature

WATERFORD – Mark Panaroni passed Glen Thomas on a restart with 11 laps remaining and went on to win the crash-marred 50-lap Northeast Mini Stock Tour feature Saturday on day one of Finale Weekend at the Waterford Speedbowl.

“We struggled all day long with the car,” said Panaroni, of Ivoryton. “Tight, loose, tight, loose, we couldn’t get a handle on it. We made a last minute adjustment and just tried to work throttle control and steering.”

Glenn Colvin of Clinton was second and Ray Christian III of Norwich third.

Danny Field of Deep River clinched the Northeast Mini Stock Tour series title.

David Webb of Nashville, Tenn. held off Cam McDermott of Scituate, R.I. at the line to win the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature.

Tyler Jackson of Milford was third.

Despite being involved in a wreck, Paul French of Andover finished 10th and clinched his second consecutive track championship.

Duane Noll of Monroe held off Ryan Posocco of Stafford at the line to win the 25-lap Outlaw Stock feature.
Cory Casagrande of Stafford was third.
