Mike Lichty And John Zych Jr. Big Winners In Super Saturday Action At Stafford Speedway

Mike Lichty won the 50-lap ISMA SuperModified feature and John Zych Jr. won the 30-lap NEMA Midget feature on the CarQuest Super Saturday card Saturday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Litchty, from Innerkip, Ontario, grabbed the lead at the start, lost it, but then regained it from Lou Cicconi on lap 17. It was the second consecutive year that Lichty has scored an ISMA victory at Stafford.

Chris Perley of Rowley, Mass. was second and Lou Cicconi of Aston, Pa. third.

Zych, of Mendon, Mass., took the lead from Ian Cumens on lap 20 and never trailed again on the way to victory in the NEMA Midget feature.

Cumens, of Lydell, Pa., was second and Randy Cabral third.

Avery Stoehr of Lakeville, Mass. won the 20-lap NEMA Lites feature. The victory in the 25-lap Pro Four Modified feature went to Dan Merservey Jr. of West Chatham, Mass.
