THOMPSON – Glenn Griswold made his return to the track a triumphant one Thursday at Thompson International Speedway.
After losing the one car he competed with at Thompson, the Waterford Speedbowl and Stafford Motor Speedway to a wreck in July at Waterford, Griswold was back on track Thursday and won the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature at Thompson.
It was the first SK Light Modified victory at Thompson for Griswold, of Vernon.
Joe Boivin of Belchertown, Mass. was second and John Studley of Framingham, Mass. third.
Cam McDermott of Scituate, Mass. used a fourth place finish to clinch his second consecutive division title.
Toby Wells of Dublin, N.H. won the 20-lap Northeast Mini Stock Tour event. Glen Thomas Jr. of Groton was second and Pete Zaikarite of Niantic third.
