The drivers of the Northeast Mini Stock Tour will have free reign to get as dirty as they want during at least one event in 2014.

Northeast Mini Stock Tour officials announced Tuesday that the series will have at least one dirt track event on its schedule for 2014.

The series will visit the Dirt Track of Legion Speedway in Rumney, N.H. on June 22 for the division’s first experiment off of pavement.

The race will be a 50-lap event with 10-lap qualifying races and will be run under standard Northeast Mini Stock Tour rules.

The event will see a maximum thirty car starting field.

“The drivers have asked about dirt for years and we have finally been able to make the schedules work,” Northeast Mini Stock Tour founder and owner Bob Guptill said in a release. “I am excited about the sheer number of drivers and teams that will take this opportunity to make their first start on dirt for most teams.”
