— Could the SK Light Modified division be making more than a couple cameo appearances at Thompson Speedway in 2014?
It looks like that could be a possibility.
As of now the division is only scheduled to be on the card for two of seven events at Thompson in 2014, the season opening Icebreaker and the season ending World Series of Speedway Racing.
But it seems Thompson Speedway management was reaching out to competitors this week to gauge interest in adding more SK Light Modified events for the upcoming season. Members of the track management team are expected to meet with competitors Wednesday to discuss possible changes.
— Former Stafford Motor Speedway DARE Stock division regular Jeff Jolly of Wallingford will return to the division full-time in 2014.
Jolly, who has nine career victories in the division, last ran full-time in 2010 when he finished second in the standings. He made one start in 2013.
Jolly’s new DARE Stock will run out of the Casagrande Motorsports stable.
“Obviously we want to win races and be a contender for the championship, but the key thing is to have a good time and have fun,” Jolly said in a release. “We were talking about that when I went to pick up the car. We thought this is going to be great, we have a good team and we have a good piece, but it all comes back to having fun.”
Nice update.
Jeff Jolly coming back to the “DARE STOCK” division or Jesus rising from the dead. Cant figure out which one is a bigger deal????
