This year he’ll get at least two opportunities to jump back in a seat for the same organization.

Tommy Baldwin Racing announced Tuesday that Preece, of Berlin, will attempt to make Nationwide Series starts for the team in events at Richmond International Raceway (April 25) and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (July 12).

Preece finished 24th making his Nationwide Series debut last July at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

“I can’t wait, and I’m very happy to have this chance again,” Preece said in a release. “You never know if your first race in a car, could be your last one. Making the best of the opportunity is key. I’m very lucky to have someone like Tommy pushing and supporting me. He has given me a true opportunity that is very hard to come by in todays racing. There aren’t very many car owners that will put you in a car like he is doing.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in a full body car and doing what I love to do. Driving for Tommy is fun because he is from Modified Country, and has the same personality that we all do. Working with all the guys at TBR is fun too, they are all hardcore racers and all have the same goal in mind.”

East West Marine of Manorville, N.Y., will sponsor Preece’s No. 36 Chevrolet for both Nationwide Series events this year.

“We are very excited to be able to support Ryan’s continued progression through the NASCAR ranks and once again be a partner with Tommy Baldwin Racing,” Brian Slaga, president of East West Marine said. “We fully support Ryan’s career through the various racing series that he participates in. He is a great ambassador for East West Marine and we are proud to have him wave our flag. We look forward to his continued success for many years to come.”

Said Preece: “I’m very lucky to have a guy like Brian Slaga behind me with East West Marine and his company. He supports me 100% and helps me with whatever is needed to race or be at the track.”
