Andy Seuss took the early reigns of leadership in the chase for NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship Sunday.
Seuss, of Hampstead, N.H., was fastest in practice, won the pole and then led every lap on the way to victory in the 150-lap Whelen Southern Modified Tour season opener Sunday at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C.
Seuss lead second place finisher George Brunnhoelzl III of West Babylon, N.Y. to the line by 1.465 seconds for his 16th career series victory and ninth at Caraway.
