NASCAR K&N Pro Series East rookie Dave Garbo Jr. of Stonington will be making his Greenville Pickens Speedway debut in Saturday’s Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 in Greenville, S.C.
Making his Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway debut last Saturday, Garbo came from the 29th starting spot to finish a career best seventh, marking his first top-10 in three series starts for the rookie.
The Bristol rally from the back allows for some optimistic vibes to be flowing for Garbo going to Greenville.
“I’m pretty positive going into Greenville,” Garbo said in a release. “I think the race will play out much different than Bristol did because of the characteristics of the track. Saving tires will play a huge part in the race. I’m confident on how the car was at the test last week, and I think we will have a great finish as long as we stay out of trouble.”
Garbo, a former regular in the Legends division at the Waterford Speedbowl who is now competing for Hattori Racing, is currently 14th in the K&N Pro Series East standings.
