Eddie MacDonald Wins K&N Pro Series East Event At Bristol Motor Speedway

Eddie MacDonald used a pass for the lead on a green-white-checkered finish to win the K&N Pro Series East PittLite 125 Saturday at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

The victory snapped a 53-race winless streak for the Rowley, Mass. driver, who has last won a series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Sept. 2009. It was the seventh career K&N Pro Series East victory for the 33-year old.

Ben Rhodes won the pole and led every lap until a late caution set up the final restart, that extended the event to 132 laps.

MacDonald, who started 13th, got by Rhodes for the lead in turn three coming to the white flag. Gray Gaulding of Colonial Heights, Va. was second and Rhodes, of Louisville, Ky., third.
