Waterford Speedbowl Adds Open Practice Day To Upcoming Schedule

Weather continued to wreak havoc on the Waterford Speedbowl.

New Speedbowl LogoTrack officials were forced to shorten a scheduled open practice day at the track because of rain.

It comes a day after track officials made the decision to postpone their season opening Budweiser Blastoff weekend from Saturday and Sunday to April 12-13.

Speedbowl officials announced Friday that they will now add another open practice to the schedule for Friday April 11 in preparation for the Blastoff weekend.

Rainchecks will be honored on April 11 for those teams that were in attendance for Friday’s practice. Sixty-seven teams were in attendance on Friday before rain brought the practice to a halt.

The track is scheduled to open for the season’s first event now on April 5 with the running of the first Saturday night weekly Whelen All-American Series racing card.
