Daily Grind: Thompson To Offer Special Military Admission For Events; Sho & Go Returning At Waterford

Daily Grind 300 BoxThompson Speedway will offer free grandstand admission to active duty and retired military personnel with valid ID for their May 29 racing event and June 27-29 Vintage Festival.

The May 29 event features the Modified Racing Series for the first of the division’s two visits to the track in 2014.

— Waterford Speedbowl officials announced this week that their Sho & Go Friday night programs will return May 9 (a special test and tune will be held for competitors only on May 2).

— Wondering if Quarter Midget racing is for your child?

If so, the Little T Quarter Midget Club at Thompson International Speedway is the place to be on June 7.

The Little T Quarter Midget Club will host a Promotional Day Jun 7 open to boys and girls ages 5-15.

The event will give children the chance to run 10 laps in a Quarter Midget around the Little T. The Little T Quarter Midget Club will provide all cars, safety equipment and operational instructions. Participants must wear long pants and sneakers. The event will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with a raindate of June 14.
