All the fancy openers are done, now it’s time for the nitty-gritty that is weekly racing.
Stafford Motor Speedway put the Spring Sizzler in the rearview and this week the track kicks off its weekly Friday night racing schedule with a six-event card.
And for those looking for a deal at the box office, Stafford Motor Speedway has it this week with their BFF Nigh special. Buy one adult general admission ticket Friday and get a second one for free. Tough to beat that deal.
The Waterford Speedbowl looks to rebound from a soggy Saturday last weekend that forced the track to call off its festivities early. The special 50-lap Street Stock event that had been scheduled for April 26 will now be run this week.

When: Friday
Schedule: 40-lap SK Modified, 30-lap Late Model, 20-lap SK Light Modified, 20-lap Limited Late Model, 15-lap DARE Stock and 20-lap Legends.
More: The second event of the season at Stafford Motor Speedway. … Stafford hosts its annual BFF Night. Fans purchasing a general admission adult ticket with will get a second free general admission adult ticket. … Ryan Preece ran away with victory in the season opening SK Modified feature Sunday at Stafford. Preece, the 2011 SK Modified champion at Stafford, had a division high eight victories on the way to a second place finish in the standings in 2013. … Jay Stuart opened the season with a win in the first Late Model feature of the season. … Last year Adam Gray saw a streak of 16 consecutive podium finishes at Stafford end in the Fall Final at the track. Schedule: 35-lap NASCAR All-American Series SK Modified, 30-lap Late Model, 50-lap Street Stock, 25-lap Mini Stock, 25-lap SK Light Modified and 20-lap X-Cars. Grandstands open: 3 p.m.; Qualifying: 4:30 p.m.; Features: 7 p.m.
More: The fourth event of the season at the shoreline oval. Racing was rained out last week. In the last event at the track, Tyler Chadwick won the SK Modified feature, holding off reigning division champion Keith Rocco, who has a victory and two second place finishes in three events in the division this year. … Ed Puleo is the other winner in the SK Modified division in 2014. … The Street Stock division takes center stage this week with the running of a 50-lap feature for the division.
