Saturday Rick Williams got his first victory on the track in an SK Light Modified at the Waterford Speedbowl. And that victory turned out be enough to give him a little bonus for the effort.

Through voting on RaceDayCT, Williams has won this week’s New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.

Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

The winner each week will be chosen through voting on RaceDayCT. Williams was nominated thanks to his 25-lap SK Light Modified feature was that was run Saturday as part of the Budweiser Blastoff weekend at the Waterford Speedbowl.

Williams earned just over 50 percent of the votes in polling. Keith Rocco, winner of the Late Model division feature Sunday at Waterford, got 27.7 percent of the votes.

The final voting numbers are displayed below.

Williams will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
