Tyler Hines Wins New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award

NE Racing Fuel Support Performer Award

Saturday, there were few celebrating when the rains came to a bring halt to the first day of NAPA Spring Sizzler Weekend at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Though for Tyler Hines, rain bringing a halt to the racing action meant some celebration for him. Hines, of North Haven won the rain-shortened SK Light Modified feature Saturday at Stafford.

And this week he ran away from the competition in voting for the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award.

Hines garnered 58 percent of the cote in polling this week for the award. Ryan Fearn of East Longmeadow, Mass. was second with 29 percent of the votes.

Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

The winner each week will be chosen through voting on RaceDayCT. The final voting numbers for this week are displayed below.

Hines will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
