Vote Now For The Monk Mechanics Hand Cleaners RaceDayCT April Cleaned Up Award

Monk Cleaned Up Award 286During the 2014 racing season, who ever cleans up on the racetrack locally each month will be making sure they stay clean after that thanks to Monk Mechanics Hand Cleaners.

RaceDayCT is proud to introduce the Monk Mechanics Hand Cleaners RaceDayCT “Cleaned Up Award” for the 2014 season.

At the end of each calendar month during the racing season nominees will be chosen based on their successes on the track during that month.

Those nominees will be chosen from among competitors at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway, the Waterford Speedbowl and any of the touring divisions that visit those tracks. The winner of the award will then be decided through a vote on RaceDayCT.com.

The winner of the award each month will earn a case of Monk Mechanics Hand Cleaners courtesy of Monk. Voting will take place through Friday at noon. After voting, click one of the Social Media icons in the upper left hand corner of the voting box to share the poll with others.

The nominees for April are:

  • Keith Rocco, who in April scored a Valenti Modified Racing Series win at the Waterford Speedbowl, a victory and two seconds in SK Modified features at the Waterford Speedbowl, three Late Model wins in three events at Waterford and an SK Modified victory at Thompson Speedway
  • Justin Bonsignore, who had a victory and a fourth place in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour action, and held the series points lead after two events, and also had a second place in Valenti Modified Racing Series action.
  • Rowan Pennink, who had a Valenti Modified Racing Series win at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H. and a third place in Whelen Modified Tour action at Stafford Speedway.
  • Woody Pitkat, who earned his first career Whelen Modified Tour pole at the Icebreaker 150 at Thompson Spedway and then finished second, then was second fastest qualifier at the Spring Sizzler at Stafford and recorded a fourth place finish and also had a second place run in an SK Modified feature at Thompson.
  • Doug Coby, who recorded a third place finish in the season opening Whelen Modified Tour event at Thompson then battled for victory late in the Spring Sizzler before settling for a second place finish.

  1. Why isn’t Steve masse a choice? He wrecked at Waterford then bounced back and had a strong 3rd place finish at monadnock.

    The contest is for success in April. Not lack of. Keith Rocco had more wins in April than masse had last year…..coby and woody didn’t win anything. How is this even a contest?
