Waterford Notes: Rick Williams Scores First Career SK Light Modified Victory

WATERFORD – Rick Williams passed Larry Goss eight laps in and never trailed again on the way to victory in the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature Saturday as part of the Budweiser Blastoff card at the Waterford Speedbowl.

It was the first career victory in the division for Williams, of Haddam. Randy Churchill of Oakdale was second and Corey Barry of Plainfield third.

In the 25-lap New England Truck Series it was Roger Turbush of Riverhead, N.Y. scoring the victory. Duane Noll of Monroe was second and Alan Coates of Ledyard third.

Dylan Izzo of Westport scored the victory in the 20-lap Legends feature. Brendan Bock of Franklin Square, N.Y. was second and Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott third.

Jon Porter of Canterbury won the 20-lap Super X-Car feature. Zach Thomas of New London was victorious in the 20-lap X-Car feature. P.J. Stergois of Candia, N.H. won the 25-lap NEMA Lite feature.
